Kutch region is a unique place with a capacity of power generation by all three – thermal, Wind and solar energy. Various large plants in Kutch region areTata Power’s first 4000 MW Ultra Mega Power Project (UMPP) of India, Adani Power3300 MW plant etc. The other major companies are the Welspun Group of Companies, Electrotherm, Ajanta Clocks, Orpat, JayPee Cements, Jindal Steel and one of the largest windmill farms concentration.
